chairman of china everbright group, tang shuangning and cel's ceo chen shuang visit the republic of belarus

25 august 2015 - invited by the management committee of the china-belarus industrial park (“the park”), chairman of china everbright group (“the group”), tang shuangning and cel’s ceo chen shuang visited the republic of belarus (“belarus”) to have a site inspection at the park, as well as to have an in-depth discussion with the first deputy prime minister, mr. vasily matyushevsk and other senior managements in the commercial sector of belarus.

the park is the largest co-investment project between china and belarus. president of the people's republic of china, xi jinping had specifically visited the park while he had a state visit at belarus on may 12, 2015. this time, chairman tang and chen shuang also conducted a site visit there by the invitation of the park.

chairman tang and chen shuang had an inspection on the overall planning, infrastructure, industrial layout, and traffic conditions of the park, as well as having a deeper understanding of the park’s short and long-term future plans. after the visit, chairman tang and chen shuang met with mr. vasily matyushevsk, first deputy prime minister of belarus and have introduced china everbright group and cel’s latest development, businesses and their international co-operation projects. mr. vasily matyushevsk also introduced the country’s economic development and preferential policies, etc. he warmly welcomed the group and its subsidiary companies to carry out investments in belarus, in particular on the sectors of financial, real estate and infrastructure investments. both sides had a thorough discussion and exchanged views on the potential co-operation opportunities on commercial banking, direct investment and the joint establishment of funds between china and belarus.

the visit is the first step of exploring the co-operation opportunities between china everbright group and belarus. to leverage on the opportunities brought by the “one-belt-one-road” initiative, this can also be one of the group’s chances for fostering its internationalised development.
