hksar chief executive candidate c.y. leung visits everbright

28 november 2011 – mr. c.y. leung, a candidate to be the fourth chief executive of the hksar and an advisor to the china universities alumni association - financial association (cuaafa) visited the headquarters of china everbright limited. mr. leung met everbright ceo mr. chen shuang, who is also chairman of the cuaafa, the chairman’s team, and directors of the cuaafa, to talk about hong kong’s financial and social development.
drawing on his own life story, mr. leung hoped that people working, studying and living in the city could come together as one “big family”, as he feels nurturing talent is the key to hong kong’s future. he also underscored the importance of constantly evolving and thought hong kong should look further ahead and align itself with china’s development, especially in the financial sector, which is essential to reinforce the city’s status as an international financial, trading and shipping centre. mr. leung also indicated that he would be open to receiving opinions and suggestions that could help him improve his election platform.
those present during mr. leung’s visit included mr. tse yung hoi, deputy chief executive officer of boc international holdings limited; mr. lin yong, ceo of haitong international holdings limited; mr. hu zhang hong, ceo & executive director of ccb international; and mr. frank m. song, director of the centre for china financial research at the university of hong kong.
