everbright spartan race

china everbright limited is the title sponsor of spartan race hong kong since 2018. spartan race was first organised in 2007 in usa, the event was expanded to 30 countries and 240 races around the world in 12 years, with more than 9 million accumulated number of particpants. everbright’s motto of “the power to transform” mirrors that of spartan’s “the courage to succeed”. through its title sponsorship, everbright hopes to inspire more participants with the daring spirit to transform and breakthrough, bringing out the best in life.

as the world’s most popular and challenging obstacle race, the event held twice this year in hong kong, received an overwhelming response and attracted more than 7,000 racers joining the competition. apart from the the super heat (13km), sprint heat (6km), and kids competitive heat (2km), this year firstly introduced the "everbright spartan corporate championship", and various corporations including everbright, abc international, citic bank, ccb (asia), cicc, bocom, credit suisse and gammon construction sent their teams to join the compeition. with team spirits high, as well as the grit and determination to overcome the obstacles, all participants embodied the very best of the spartan warrior spirit.

spartan race is a competition that requires strength, perseverance and endurance. racers walk through the mountains, beaches and streams and overcome 20 signature obstacles in the spectacular natural habitat like they have never experienced before, such as climbing the olympus, rope climbing, carrying the 50 kilos rock, climbing over the 7 feet wall, passing the dunk wall, crawling under barbed wire for 40 metres, and many others. the event was widely welcomed by many financial institutions such as hsbc, icbc, ubs, bnp paribas and barclays, etc., they formed numerous corporate teams and took on obstacles over an exciting course showing their team spirit.

in order to nurture the passion of sports to children, other than sprint race, the organizer introduced the 2km race for kids between 4-13 years old, with over 1,200 children participated this year. parents cheered on their children getting muddy in a modified racecourse when they overcame challenges, obstacles and crossed the finishing line.
